Watching the Hollywood film and seeing Woody Harrelson portray me is completely unreal.
Duncan Allcock remains incredulous after bearing witness to the intense deep-sea crisis he participated in.

turned into a major hit movie.
“The Last Breath” narrates the story of a team of deep-sea divers operating at an offshore oil rig in the North Sea. They urgently attempt to save one of their members after he gets trapped due to an incident.
Mr Allcock, from Derbyshire,
shared with Big News Hub Radio Derby
mentioned it felt “incredible” to have been depicted by Harrelson.
Mr Allcock, a resident of Chesterfield who hails originally from Bradford, mentioned that he has crossed paths with the actor on two occasions.
“He mentioned that they spent four days on location in Malta, where they had an excellent conversation. The individual was attempting to learn about his background and perspective,” he explained.
The first thing he stated was, “I’m not going to do the Yorkshire accent.”

Mr. Allcock recalled the close call depicted in the film from 2012, mentioning that his two teammates—Chris Lemons and Dave Yuasa—were submerged at around 100 meters (300 feet) deep, working within a sizable metallic structure on the ocean floor.
He explained they were attached to a “diving bell” by “umbilicals” – large cables providing breathing gas, communication and warm water.
The diving bell, where Mr. Allcock was positioned as the safety diver prepared to assist a colleague if necessary, was subsequently connected to the vessel.
“As the boat moves, so does the bell,” stated Mr Allcock.

He mentioned that the boat’s computer abruptly ceased functioning, causing the ship to lose power and begin floating away aimlessly.
Mr. Allcock stated, “The umbilical cord of Diver Two—Chris—got entangled at the top of the structure, which altered everything.”
He mentioned that the cord “extended just like a rubber band,” and he recounted hearing “an enormous thunderous sound, similar to a shotgun blast; afterward, Chris’s umbilical became lifeless.”
He mentioned, ‘I believed I would exit through the opening with it.’
I clung to the ceiling like Spider-Man because going through the opening would mean I wouldn’t be able to save anyone.
He mentioned that Chris Lemons found himself completely in the dark, with his emergency tanks on his back containing just enough oxygen to last approximately 10 minutes.

He mentioned that both he and the other diver, Dave Youasa—who had managed to return to the diving bell—were unable to assist Mr. Lemons until the boat became operational once more.
He mentioned that it concluded at 38 minutes.
He mentioned that Mr. Youasa descended to save him and had to attach Chris and then climb back up using his own umbilical cord.
After they both reached the frame beneath the diving bell, Mr. Allcock mentioned that he managed to haul Mr. Lemons inside utilizing a series of pulley system ropes.
He had ceased breathing and was suffering from hypothermia but eventually made a complete recovery, even going back to work as a diver and getting married to his fiancée.
The trio went to the film’s New York debut in February, and the movie was scheduled to be released in UK theaters later this month.
